Red, White & Royal Blue

As someone who is not too into contemporary fiction, this romance proved itself to be a good introduction into the genre.

Red, White & Royal Blue (by Casey McQuiston)

Let's start with my reading records before getting into the book:

  • I started the book on the 10th July 2021 and finished it on the 9th August 2021.

  • Out of those 31 days I had 11 active reading days.

  • My edition had 421 pages

Gave this sweet love story a score of 4/5 *

Trigger warnings:

Explicit Sx scenes; Sx under the influence of alcohol (Not in a predatory context and with consent, but still); Forced Outing; Death; Xenophobia; Homophobia; Drug Abuse; Addiction; Parental Neglect; Sexual Abuse

Despite being very interesting, the political aspects of the story made getting through it a bit more taxing. Not because those scenes were badly written or anything, but mostly because I have very little interest in politics within the realm of fiction. Moreover, the beginning is a bit slow but apart from that it is gay and slaps.
